Funky Tiger Lagos

Eat, vibe, and have fun — online before the first glass is poured.

A Lekki wine bar and lounge blending rustic New York–style ambience with Lagos nightlife — we built the brand website at funkytigeroflagos.com so guests can explore the menu, discover Wine & Jazz nights, and book before they walk in.

Funky Tiger Lagos

THE CHALLENGE

Funky Tiger is more than a restaurant — it’s a curated space for fine dining, live jazz, signature cocktails, and nights that shift from cosy lounge to full nightlife. The venue needed a digital presence that matched the in-room experience: bold enough for Instagram discovery, clear enough for first-time guests to understand the menu and vibe, and polished enough to support press coverage and private-hire enquiries without feeling like a generic template.

THE SOLUTION

We built a content-forward WordPress site that carries the Funky Tiger personality from the first scroll — welcome copy, full menu structure (starters through desserts, bar, and sides), Wine & Jazz event positioning, and clear contact details for Admiralty Way in Lekki Phase 1. The site gives the team a manageable way to update menus and seasonal offerings while presenting the brand as a destination, not just another Lagos listing.

HOW WE BUILT IT

Product thinking, design, and engineering working together.

A site that sells the vibe, not just the address

Funky Tiger’s draw is atmosphere — brick walls, leather sofas, live jazz from 7 pm, and a bar that transitions into DJ-led nightlife after midnight. The website had to communicate that energy upfront: curated copy, strong visual hierarchy, and sections for dining, the bar, events, and private hire so visitors know what kind of night they’re walking into before they arrive.

Menu as a first-class experience

From Funky Chicken Fingers and Drunken Pasta to the Signature Funky Jollof and Catch of the Day, the menu is central to the brand. We structured the site so the full offering reads clearly online — starters, burgers, pasta, meat, seafood, sides, desserts, and bar selections — making it easy for guests to browse, share, and plan a visit without hunting through PDFs or social posts.

Built for discovery and press moments

When Pulse Nigeria reviewed Funky Tiger as “Lekki’s cool wine bar mixing jazz, cocktails, and charm,” the site needed to back up that story — professional enough for media links, social-ready for @funkytigeroflagos traffic, and straightforward for table enquiries and event bookings. The result is a digital front door that matches the in-venue experience reviewers describe.

PROJECT STEPS

A clear path from scope to launch.

01

Brand & guest-journey discovery

Mapped how guests discover Funky Tiger — social, press, search, and walk-ins — and what they need before visiting: menu, vibe, events, location, and contact.

02

WordPress theme & visual direction

Implemented a layout aligned with the rustic, jazz-lounge identity — bold typography, clear sections, and mobile-first navigation for on-the-go browsing.

03

Menu, bar, and events content structure

Organised dining categories, bar offerings, Wine & Jazz programming, and private-hire messaging so the team can update content without rebuilding pages.

04

Launch & iteration

Shipped the live site at funkytigeroflagos.com and refined content as the venue grew its events calendar and public profile.

WHY WE BUILT IT

Funky Tiger is hospitality done with intention — the food, the jazz, the cocktails, and the room all tell the same story. Our job was to give that story a website worthy of the venue: clear menu discovery, event positioning, and a presence that holds up when press like Pulse sends readers your way.
